Clay County Contact Routes

This is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, accept bond, or obtain an official booking record. Contact the responsible public office directly for those needs.

Current Custody and Records

Use the jail line for a question about a person who may be in current county custody. Use the sheriff or dispatch number for non-emergency routing and to ask where a written request should be directed. The county does not publish an online booking-photo form, a public roster, or a guaranteed booking-photo fee. A focused written request should identify the person, the approximate date, and the likely record holder.

Case and Court Questions

A booking record is not the final case record. Clay County Court can help with the court-side path, and the District Court Clerk is a separate contact for district-court matters. Ask which information is public, what identifier is useful, and whether a copy fee applies. An active warrant should be checked with the sheriff and issuing court, not inferred from an old online result.

Where a Record May Be Held

For a city arrest, the police department may hold the incident report while the sheriff holds the county-jail booking record. The home page explains the full Clay County custody and request path. The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services locator applies only after state custody. Federal and immigration custody use separate federal systems. Current custody and release status change quickly, so verify directly with the appropriate public office.

Questions About This Service

This service does not maintain a public support line for government-record requests. Questions about a third-party search box, an external link, or a legal notice should be directed through the provider or publisher identified on the relevant page. Requests to correct an official record belong with the agency or court that created it.
